Great article. I would also add the 2 following points:
1- Innovate. Do not become complacent in how you advertise or market your product. Innovation is currently a word used in product development. What some people fail to realise is that innovation should be applied to all stages of product development , including marketing.
2- DO not take your eye off the competition . Test, learn, improve, assess the competition, improve, repeat.
