Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and data science are really starting to shape the delivery of healthcare services. We see it in almost every significant activity, from the management of patient scheduling through to physically assisting surgery.
The most important thing when it comes to healthcare is privacy and this is also been addressed now with privacy preserving techniques which makes AI more powerful.
That suggests privacy was the most important thing - if the problem has been largely solved. But not sure that it has. Protecting privacy shouldn’t be that difficult in a technical sense. You can write code the hide, remove or protect personally identifying information as appropriate. Regulating and enforcing compliance would be the challenge. Not sure it’s been solved yet. Regulation is slow moving.
